Image Translation

Point your camera at text and let Vavus read and translate it.

Image Translation uses your camera to read text in the real world — restaurant menus, signs, instructions, book pages — and translates what it sees.

    Top-left arrow. Returns to the Translation Hub.

    Source language pill

    The language of the text in the image. Tap to change (or set to Auto-detect).

    Swap languages

    Swaps source and target.

    Target language pill

    The language you want the translation in.

    Take photo

    Opens the camera so you can snap a picture of the text.

    Pick from library

    Lets you choose a photo you've already taken.

    Crop / re-frame

    After capturing, drag the corners to isolate just the text you want translated.

    Translate

    Runs OCR + translation. The result appears below the image.

    Copy translation

    Copies the translated text to your clipboard.
