Keyboard Settings
Activate the dictation keyboard, pick speech provider and translation engine, choose a theme, and switch keyboard layouts.
This is the control room for the Vavus AI keyboard. On iOS, you activate a timed dictation session here. On Android, the keyboard runs through the accessibility service so the screen shows it as always available. You also pick the speech and translation models, change the keyboard theme, set the speech language, and choose from dozens of keyboard layouts.

Shows whether the keyboard session is active or inactive (iOS) or always-on (Android).
- 2Duration chip (15m / 1h / 4h / 8h)
iOS only. Pick how long the activated session lasts before it auto-stops.
- 3Activate Keyboard / Deactivate
iOS only. Big green button starts the dictation session for the chosen duration. Turns red while active.

Opens a step-by-step guide to installing the keyboard extension and granting permissions.
- 5How It Works rows
Five color-coded explainers — Dictation, Translation, Select & Translate, Clipboard Translate, Chat Text Translate. Read-only descriptions of what each button on the keyboard does.
- 6Keyboard Theme
Expandable row. Pick from preset themes (Light, Dark, etc.) that change the keyboard's look.
- 7Customize colors
Expandable row. Override individual element colors with a hex code or one of the palette swatches.
- 8Speech Language
Picker. The language you'll be speaking into the mic.
- 9Speech Provider
Picker. STT model tier (standard, pro, medical) and provider chain.
- 10Translation Engine (V-Translate / Vavus AI)
Picker. V-Translate is fast Google Translate; Vavus AI uses the LLM chain with context.

Picker. The language your speech gets translated into.
- 12Keyboard Layout
Expandable row with a search field and a list of every supported layout (QWERTY, AZERTY, Cyrillic, etc.) with flags.
