Dictation Overlay Disclosure (Android)
Android-only prominent disclosure for the floating dictation overlay, explaining what it does, what it never does, and how to disable it.
Before Android lets Vavus AI show a floating dictation bubble in other apps, Google requires you to see exactly what the feature does and doesn't do. This screen explains it in plain language and gives you the chance to turn it on or skip it.
- 1Status chip
Shows whether the dictation overlay is currently on or not enabled yet.
- 2What this feature does
Card listing the five things the overlay does — only acts on tap, reads the focused field, writes your dictation back into it, mic only turns on when you tap, and audio is processed over a secure connection.
- 3What this feature does not do
Card listing the five things the overlay never does — no auto-typing, no actions on your behalf, no background reading, no silent recording, no analytics from accessibility data.
- 4How to turn it off
Shows the two ways to disable the overlay later — through Android Settings or inside Vavus AI Settings.
- 5Enable Dictation Overlay
Saves your acknowledgement and opens Android's Accessibility Settings so you can flip the toggle on.
- 6Not now / Close
Closes this screen without enabling. You can come back later from Settings.
