Settings
Account, preferences, and security — three tabs that hold every personal setting in Vavus AI.
The Settings screen is organized into three tabs: Account, Preferences, and Security. Each tab groups related settings into cards.
- 1Account tab
Avatar, name, handle, email address, and organization membership.
- 2Preferences tab
Theme, accent color, languages, UI language, AI history access, call translation, notifications, dictation tier, and desktop tools.
- 3Security tab
Password, two-factor authentication, message privacy, active sessions, sync, data export, privacy controls, and account deletion.
- 4Avatar upload
Click the avatar to upload a new profile picture. The Remove button below it deletes the current avatar.
- 5Save profile
Saves changes to your display name and other profile fields.
- 6Handle
Set a unique @handle that other Vavus users can search for and send messages to. Save handle commits the change.
- 7Email — Save
Updates the email on your account. You'll need to enter your current password to confirm.
- 8Go to organization
If you belong to an org, opens the Organization page.
- 9Create organization
Starts a new organization — opens a dialog where you name it.

- 10Theme variant
Choose between Default and the retro Win98 theme.
- 11Theme mode
Light, Dark, or System (follow OS).
- 12Preferred language A / B
The two languages you use most. Many screens default to these to skip the language picker.
- 13UI language
The language the interface itself is displayed in. Independent of translation languages.
- 14AI history access
Whether AI tools can read from your history. Options: Ask each time, Always allow, Never allow.
- 15Call translation language
The language Vavus translates incoming calls into.
- 16Call translation style
Whisper style (subtle) or Replace style (full TTS substitution).
- 17Transcript display
Whether the live transcript shows just the translation, just the original, or both.
- 18Autoplay TTS / Notifications / Telemetry switches
Toggle automatic playback of translated audio, system notifications, and anonymous usage reporting.
- 19STT mode — Fast / Standard
Picks the dictation tier used everywhere in the app. Fast is cheaper; Standard is more accurate.
- 20Configure desktop tools
Opens the Desktop tools setup inside Translation Hub (hotkeys for dictation, translation, reverse translation).
- 21Contact support
Opens the public Support page.
- 22Save preferences
Saves any changes you made on this tab.

- 23Change password
Opens a dialog that asks for the current password and a new one.
- 24Enable two-factor authentication
Walks you through scanning a QR code in an authenticator app and verifying with a code.
- 25Disable two-factor authentication
Shown after 2FA is on. Asks for your password and a fresh 6-digit code before turning it off.
- 26Message privacy mode
Choose Standard (encrypted on server, recoverable) or Zero-knowledge (only your devices can read your messages and history).
- 27Log out everywhere
Signs you out of every active session on every device immediately.
- 28Sync mode
Auto, Manual, or Off. Controls whether the app pulls remote changes automatically.
- 29Sync now
Runs a sync immediately. Useful when sync mode is set to Manual.
- 30Export my data
Generates a downloadable archive of everything on your account.
- 31Manage cookie preferences
Re-opens the cookie consent banner.
- 32Analytics / Marketing emails switches
