History tab
Every dictation, translation, and reverse-translation you've made — searchable, grouped by day, exportable, and stored encrypted on your device.
Every result that Vavus produces is logged to History. Entries are stored locally on your device and encrypted at rest — if you've enabled zero-knowledge mode in Security, not even Vavus can read them. Cmd+K / Ctrl+K from anywhere in the app jumps you here.
- 1Entry count
Total number of entries currently stored, regardless of any filters you've applied.
- 2Filter pills — All / Dictation / Translation / Reverse
Narrows the list to a single entry type. "All" is the default.
- 3Search box
Full-text search across the source text and any translated result. Searches every stored entry, not just what's on screen.
- 4Export
Downloads the currently filtered entries as a JSON file (with timestamps, languages, token counts, source, and result). Useful for backup or for moving data between machines.
- 5Day groups
Entries are grouped under "Today", "Yesterday", the weekday for anything in the last week, and a full date for anything older.
- 6Speaker (text-to-speech) icon on each line
Reads either the source text or the translated result out loud in the right voice for the language.
- 7Copy button on hover
Hover any entry to reveal a copy button — copies the result (or the source if there's no result) to your clipboard.
- 8Clear all
Wipes every entry from this device. Asks for confirmation first. Cloud-synced entries on other devices are unaffected unless you also turn off cloud sync in Settings.
