Reset password

Choose a new password after receiving a reset link by email.

This is where you set a new password using the link or token from the password-reset email. The token is single-use and expires shortly after issuance.

  1. 1
    Reset link or token

Paste the link from the reset email here, or just the token portion. Vavus parses either form.

  2. 2
    New password

Your new password. Must be 8–128 characters and include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one symbol.

  3. 3
    Confirm new password

Re-type the same password to catch typos.

  4. 4
Recovery phrase (only if Zero-Knowledge Mode is on)

The 12-word phrase you saved when enabling zero-knowledge mode. Required for accounts in zero-knowledge mode — without it we cannot restore your encrypted keyboard history.

  5. 5
I have lost my recovery phrase. Reset my password and wipe encrypted data

Last-resort option for zero-knowledge accounts: lets you reset the password but permanently destroys any data we had encrypted under the lost key. Tick this only if you accept that loss.

  6. 6
    Reset password

Submits the new password. On success, sign in normally with the new password.

  7. 7
    Back to sign in

Returns to the sign-in screen without resetting.
