Languages

Pick your speech language, target translation language, and the keyboard layout used when typing.

The Languages screen is where you set what you speak, what you translate into, and which keyboard layout appears when typing. Changes apply to both the host app and the keyboard extension immediately.

Origin language
The language you're speaking or typing in. Tap to open the full language picker — supports 100+ languages with auto-detection as an option.

Target language
The language Vavus translates into. Tap to pick from the same list.

Keyboard layout
The physical key arrangement (QWERTY, AZERTY, Cyrillic, etc.) shown when you're typing. Auto-matches your origin language by default but can be overridden.

Search
Type any part of a language name to filter the list when picking. Quicker than scrolling.

Medical source language
Only visible if your account has the Medical dictation tier. Constrains medical-mode transcription to one of the four supported languages (English, Spanish, French, German).
