History
Your past dictations and translations from the keyboard.
Every time you dictate or translate something with Vavus Keyboard, the result is saved here — but only if you've turned on history in Settings. For saved history entries, your device holds the key and storage receives ciphertext.
Pull down to refresh.
- 1Entry type label (Dictation / Translation)
Tells you whether this entry was speech-to-text or a translation. Each kind has slightly different fields below.
- 2Date
When the entry was created.
- 3Original text
What you said, copied, or selected.
- 4Translated text
The translation (translation entries only).
- 5Language pair
Source language → target language for translations, or just source for dictations.
- 6Delete (per entry, top-right of card)
Removes that single entry from history.
Empty / locked states
- 7"No history yet"
Means history is empty. Either you haven't created any yet, or it's switched off in Settings.
- 8"Encrypted history locked"
Means we have ciphertext but the device hasn't unlocked the encryption key yet. Pull to refresh, or sign in again with your account password — common after a fresh install or right after a password change.
- 9"This entry is encrypted and unavailable on this device"
Shown for older entries that were encrypted with a key this device hasn't received yet. Sign in again with the account password that created them to unlock them here.
